The Embassy has the ability to register and issue civil status documents to Algerian nationals residing in Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.

 


Birth, Death and Marriage Registration


Please be advised that it is in the national's interest not to delay applying for the registration of your marriage and/or your children’s birth.

Procedures and list of documents required for registration of birth or marriages.
Marriage



The marriage of an Algerian National held in ( Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines ) in the registration office can be registered at the Embassy, a family book (Livret de famile) is issued after registration.

Required documents are:

1-
Copy of marriage certificate issued by Registration Office (Marriage certificates issued by Mosque are not valid)
2-
Copy of full birth certificate of applicant
3- Copy of full birth certificate of spouse.
4-

2 witnesses if the spouse is an algerian

If any documents are issued in another language than Arabic, English or French, please provide an official translation (By a sworn Translator) of this document.

Nationals not residing in Kuala Lumpur should allow a prepaid envelope for the return of their documents or pay the delivery fees by DHL plus bank commission. Nationals are also free to choose any other delivery company.
Important:

Marriage registration application submitted by an Algerian woman married to a non Algerian husband must be accompanied by a Certificate of Muslim Religion (Certificat de Conversion a l'Islam) issued by a mosque or association agreed by Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines Authorities.

Processing Time

Applications for registration of marriage and issue of a family book to be lodged any day of the week from Monday to Friday and collecting the next day from .

1100 hours to 1400 hours Monday to Thursday
1000 hours to 1300 hours Friday


b) To Register a Birth

The original of the "birth certificate" (Statement of Live Birth) delivered by the office of the General Registrar
2-
The family record book

Birth registration on the civil status record book of the Embassy has the advantage of making it possible to deliver civil status documents by the Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Algiers.
c) To Register a Death

Consular authorization for the transfer of mortal remain:

One of the main tasks of the the Algerian Embassy is to provide assistance to families of Algerian citizens who pass away abroad. The consular officer in Malaysia will assist the family in making arrangements with local authorities for the preparation and transfer of the remains, in accordance with the family's instructions and local law.

In order to obtain authorization for Transferring the remains, the following documents are required:

1-
Death certificate issued by the competent authorities of the country where the death took place
2-
Embalment and Sanitary Certificate( Procès verbal de mise en bière)
3-
Packing and Sealing Certificate (Certificat de non épidémiologie)
4-
Death Certificate (Acte de décès )
5-
The identity documents of the deceased
6-
The address of the deceased where is going to be buried
